Introduction
Chapter I The acts of commerce in general
Chapter II Of the merchants
Chapter III Of the companies
Chapter IV Distinctive signs of companies and products
Chapter V Bill of Exchange

Objectives

Allow students a critical framework of current Portuguese commercial law; provide them with an overview of the institutes of commercial law and an in-depth study of some of them.

Teaching methodologies and assessment

Lecture in lectures - for the major frameworks and deepening of the most relevant issues - and in practical classes for application and experimentation of theoretical frameworks and legislation.

Continuous assessment (two written tests, both weighing 50%) and final exam.

Continuous assessment imposes a minimum of 70% of class attendance as a condition.

Dates of the continuous assessment written tests for day and post-lab classes: November 6, 2019 and January 13, 2020.
