The overall objective is to highlight the importance of features such as accessibility and usability in design for interactive digital media. The specific objectives are:
- Understand what accessibility is and how it can be addressed and improved;
- Understand what is usability and how it can be addressed and improved, the
- Promote the accessibility and usability features as to take into account the processes of design of interactive digital media.

Syllabus
1. Informal assessment of websites in order to motivate students to study the issues of accessibility and usability of interactive digital media (9 hours)
a. Introduction informal procedures, metrics and tools to measure the usability of websites
b. Gauging the usability of websites
c. Interpretation of results and making informal recommendations
2. Accessibility (6 hours)
a. Accessibility in Europe
b. Accessibility in the World
c. Fundamental concepts of the interactive digital media accessible
3. Usability (6 hours)
a. fundamental concepts
b. Standards of the consequences
4. Accessibility and usability in design processes for interactive digital media (3 hours)
a. Processes in user-centred design
b. Other design processes
5. Formal evaluation of web sites (24 hours).
Objectives
In the end, students should:
To know the main rules and recommendations of accessibility and usability;
- Recognize key indicators of accessibility and usability;
- Know how to assess the accessibility and usability of interactive digital media, and
- Be motivated to introduce issues related to accessibility and usability, as early as possible in the process of designing interactive digital media.
Teaching methodologies and assessment
he teaching methods used are: - The student can not miss more than 25% of the lessons provided; The final evaluation method involves carrying out an examination in person of limited duration and with a weight of 100%.

The assessment instruments used are:
- The holding of an informal evaluation of websites (project 1)
- The completion of the formal evaluation of web sites (project 2)
- The development of a synthesis of a part of the course content (synthesis)
In the form of continuous assessment, the final grade of each student is calculated as follows: Project 1 (30%) + Project 2 (50%) + Synthesis (20%)
To use this mode:
- The student can not miss classes in which they carry out activities evaluated, and
- The student can not obtain a grade of less than 8 in any of the value of the final components of this modality.
