Syllabus

Chapter 1 presents the introduction, network concepts, the OSI reference model and TCP / IP model.
 
Chapter 2 focuses on the physical transmission media: parameters of cables, coaxial cables, UTP / STP, fiber optic cables and wireless media.
 
Chapter 3 deals with structured cabling: standards, structure, components and equipment.
 
Chapter 4 mentions the topic of local area networks, network types, topologies, access methods to the physical environment, architecture, wireless local area network, virtual local area networks, equipment and case studies.
 
Chapter 5 introduces the concepts of TCP / IP architecture, IP addresses, protocols, routing in networks and service names.
 
Chapter 6 addresses the issue of security, basic concepts, encryption, authentication and communication security

Objectives

The purpose of this discipline is to introduce the concepts and feasibility of computer networks. To provide the necessary knowledge for this area.

1st Time Grade note = 40% (Frequency) + 10% (1st Mini-test) + 10% (2nd Mini-test) + 15% (3rd Mini-test) + 25% Project
 
 
2nd Time Grade note = 40% (Frequency) + 10% (1st Mini-test) + 10% (2nd Mini-test) + 15% (3d Mini-test) + 25% Project
 
Special Time
 Grade note = 75% (Exam) + 25 % Project
 
Minimum note of 7 values, in the frequencies and examination.
