Licenciado (2005) e Doutorado (2013) em Engenharia Civil pela FEUP, onde é investigador desde a conclusão da Licenciatura.
Foi Assistente Convidado na FEUP (Setembro de 2007 a Fevereiro de 2008) e no ISEP (Março de 2010 a Julho de 2013).
Colabora com a ULP desde 2014 como Professor Auxiliar, sendo atualmente Diretor da Licenciatura em Engenharia Civil e Provedor do Estudante.
