Syllabus
Access to the representation from the analysis of the dramatic structure of a set of pieces by Anton Tchékhov: works portraying the Europe of work and love, through characters impregnated with idealism, lag, puerility, etc., passionate people with a sense of humor exemplary, which constitute the greatest challenge for the actor who proposes to approach the universe of the Russian playwright. Completion of chosen scenes. Texts to work within the scope of the curricular unit: Uncle Vânia, Gaivota and the Three Sisters, by Anton Tchékhov; and Brian Friel's The Game of Yalta.
Objectives
1. To conceive a theatrical project, from the critical reading of the text to the work of representation, passing through the study of the various dramaturgical and scenic variables (plastic, sound, etc.). 2. To deepen the experience of the theatrical interpretation, exploring the virtualities of the elocution, of the body, of the movement, of the game of counterena. 3. Develop individual technical-artistic skills and simultaneously explore the cooperative sense of the theatrical experience. 4. To deepen the relation with the dramatic texts and the possibilities of reading that they contain. 5. Expand the notion of interdisciplinarity that defines the construction of the theatrical spectacle.
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Practical in nature, the UC is based on an effective proximity between teachers and students and students. Among the methodologies to be used, mention should be made of methods of reading and discussion in groups, exercises in theatrical representation and collective construction. This process will culminate in a restricted presentation of the results achieved. The evaluation is continuous and results from consideration of the following factors: attendance and participation in the work sessions (10%); acquisition of the necessary technical and artistic knowledge (35%); individual evolution and degree of interaction with the others involved in the process (35%); quality of participation in the final collective presentation (20%).
