Syllabus
1. The body: first actor-manipulator tool. - Breathing, impulse, axes, transfers. 2. The movement as organization and management of space / time - dynamic and dynamic dynamics, - segmentation and fragmentation. 2 - Body and object manipulated, what relations? - scale, relative position and distance - numerical relationship, - perspectives and positions in the relation with the observer / spectator, - direct and indirect manipulation. 3. Animation - the life contained in objects. - in-depth observation, listening and language of the subject; - kinetic and poetic of the various materials. - imagination, between discipline and freedom. 4. Marionette and animated forms - between the arts of time and the arts of space. - creation processes with animated forms - hybridization of animated form: between theatricality and plasticity.
Objectives
The general purpose of the Animated Shapes CU is to make known the potential abilities and activities of animated forms; at the end of the curricular unit, students will be able to: - recognize the expressive potential of animated objects and their use in theater, dance and performance. - mastering essential techniques of animation and manipulation of puppets, materials, shapes and objects. - create sequences of action, short pieces or small forms integrating the languages of the puppet and animated forms.
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Active methodologies based on the autonomous construction of skills: approach to the conceptual universe in question and propaedeutic of doing. Exhibition moments focusing on pragmatic principles in relation to animated forms, and practical sessions on the design and / or manipulation of animated forms Moments of debate, criticism and self-criticism. Continuous evaluation based on the observation of the interested and appropriate participation of the students (10%) Activity-based target moments through an individual evaluation grid (35%) The progression of competences in relation to the availability for work in team and the collective discipline of animated forms. (20%) Presentation with evaluation of group work (35%)
