Objectives
Intended learning outcomes (knowledge, skills and competences to be developed by the students): This CU articulates a series of experiments todevelop tbe creative movement already begun inprevious semesters by the other CUs with the same name (I and II). It takes into account the various techniques/practices of Western theatrical dance and other performatíve arts aiming at the improvement of the interpreter. The specific objectives are:
To develop and acquire the languages of Western theatrical dance
To make students aware ofthe movement, gesture, action, as an experience and construction To dominate the movement in relation to space-time
To understand the pre-expressive scenic behaviour thatlies at the foundation of differentgenres, styles and individual or collectíve traditions.
Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired
Introducing the students to different methods of making and creating movement.Presenting the work of diverse contemporary performers and creators to the students.Motivate the students into developing their own choreographic creation skills based on composition knowledge with the purpose of empowering and developing a creative body.¿¿
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Warm-up and repertoire technique classes, promoting the achievement and development through materials that will enable a better integration of Dance methodologies, promoting the enrichment and diversification of movement features.
Warm-up and improvisation classes, training the body for improvisation exercises that will develop awareness, stance and responsiveness in order to explore improvised movement.
Theoretical and practical classes relating to the subject matters of interest, including the presentation of videos among others.
Exercises complying with objectives context will be presented in class, subject to evaluation: 50% of global evaluation.
Process evaluation (continuous): 50%
