Objectives

Through the reading and commentary of some exemplary works of the dramaturgy of the second half of the twentieth century, it is sought, transversally, to develop and deepen in students the skills of interpretation and textual analysis essential to the work of the actor, and specifically, to provide, through direct contact with the texts, a panoramic of the dramaturgy of this period. In the context of collective and aloud reading, one also seeks to deepen the notions of replication, rhythm and play, also exploring the sonorities, semantics and intertextualities inherent in the universe of each of the texts.

Teaching methodologies and assessment

Reading and critical discussion of the texts in the room, as well as analysis of the historical and dramaturgical contexts of each one of the works, also relating them to the most relevant scenic montages, thus allowing a contact with the problems inherent to its transposition to the stage. The evaluation will be done taking into account the participation in class 50% and a final work on one of the texts studied 50%.
