Presentation

The discipline works with a Professor who individually guide Seminar work. Each student develops, along the course, a certain theme of the area of Aerospace Design and Development, which will be concretized in a technical report of the concept of the aircraft. This will be the object of presentation and defense before the professor.

In the scope of the coordination of the discipline will be held classes and sessions, addressed to all students enrolled in the course, which will address the following topics:

Rules of operation of the discipline;

Rules for the preparation of technical-scientific reports;

Analysis and discussion of papers - examples;

Presentation of reports of technical-scientific works - examples;

Process of design and performance of aircraft

Analysis and discussion of the works.

Presentation of the technical report.

Objectives

To make the student capable of possessing:

- Autonomy in the development of a technical-scientific study project in the area of Aerospace Design and Development, as well as the capacity to execute it.

- Knowledge of rules of preparation and presentation of a study and research report.

- Knowledge of processes essential to the development of an aircraft as well as associated methodologies, such as project management or engineering of complex systems.

- Ability to speak and publicly defend its work

Teaching methodologies and assessment

Methodology: The teaching method aims to encourage student initiative in the educational process of its own formation. The class structure is composed of theoretical, practical and laboratory classes. In the practical classes the student will present what was apprehended by him, followed by a discussion about the new knowledge and some main guidelines that could help in the conduct of his work.
