Syllabus
Objectives
The syllabus of this Curricular Unit encompasses the topics required to understand and get familiar with eletrical
Systems architecture for Manned and Unmanned Aircrafts, such as Electric Propulsion, Actuators, Energy Storage,
Energy Distribution and Auto Pilots. Adittionaly, ofering a more pratical approach, the students will program microcontrollers to interface eletrical systems such as actuators, electric motors and sensors.
Teaching methodologies and assessment
The structure of the classes will be divided in theoretical classes, using the expositive and interactive
method or through the use of slides, and practical classes for problem solving exercises. The students
will be solving exercices individually with all the support from the Professor. The interaction between
students with the Professor becomes very pertinent in this classes since it helps the students for a more
participating methodology instead of the standard method. The evaluation method is performed during six
months, by continuous evaluation, according to the Regulation of evaluation of Knowledge of the ULP.
The method includes: Group work (50%) and written tests (50%).
