Distance learning content

Due to the restrictions of face-to-face activities resulting from the COVID-19 Pandemic about 25% of the program content will be taught at a distance using appropriate platforms.


The learning objectives (LO) defined for this unit are:

LO1. Develop research skills, systematic analysis and critical reflection;

LO2. Develop a evidence-based work in the field of science communication;

LO3. Compose a research project on a topic in the physical education and sport area.

Teaching methodologies and assessment

Different teaching methodologies (ME) will be used: Classes of an expository nature (ME1): Bibliographic research (ME2), Analysis of scientific articles (ME3), Small group activities (ME4) and feedback information provided by the teacher on work developed (ME5). The proposed teaching methodologies integrate a set of pedagogical innovation practices detailed in the observations.

The evaluation is continuous and is carried out under the terms of the General Evaluation Regulations of ULP and includes:

  • Group work (90%): literature review (25%), script for community outreach project (20%), article (45%)
  • Test (10%)

The community outreach project consists of developing a script for a comic strip.

Approval is subject to a final classification > or = 9.5 points. Students who do not pass the exam may submit themselves to the exam at the time of appeal. The appeal examination (written test) will cover the totality of the syllabus and the delivery of an article.
