Objectives
The 1st Cycle in Law of the ULP offers to its students an only environment of Excellency and Education. Our graduates are prepared for the success in the performance of the future professional activities, in the most varied activity sectors.
The Law students have the chance to participate, throughout the course, in seminaries, conferences and courses of formation that cover most of the law areas of the study. Every year, professors of other departments of the ULP and other faculties of law, as well as lawyers, magistrates, and other professionals, contribute with its specialized abilities and its knowledge for the enrichment of the academic curriculum of our students.
Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired
The 1º Cycle, which corresponds to the Degree of ¿Licenciatura¿, is divided in four years, or eight semesters, with curricular subjects dedicated to the great domains of Law Science. To conclude, students must do 240 ECTS. All the curricular units are compulsory, with exception of two subjects in the 3º year that are optional and correspond to 6 ECTS. Here, students will be able to attend subjects of other Degrees like Management, Psychology, Engineering and Computer science.
Further Studies
The law undergraduates, having completed the first cycle, may proceed to postgraduate studies (MA), following one of three areas of expertise: Political Sciences, Forensic Sciences or Business Science.
