Description of contents

Information and communication in the company: downward and upward information, information and communication policies, information technologies and people management.

Organizational communication: the basic dimensions of the communicational process, non-verbal messages and active listening, feedback and performance, personal communication styles, communication flows and patterns in organizations, communication in the computerized information age, the external and internal public of companies, internal communication (internal marketing).

Negotiation: fundamental elements of negotiation, negotiation typology, negotiation errors, negotiation strategies, techniques and tactics.

Objectives

1) In the scope of information, familiarize students with the types of information and communication policies existing in the organization and also know and understand information technologies and people management.

2) In the scope of communication, analyze the basic dimensions of the communication process, distinguish the various personal communication styles, understand the communication flows and patterns in organizations, analyze and face a crisis communication situation, distinguish between internal and external public organizations and understand the importance of internal communication within the organization.

3) In the negotiation component, identify and analyze the fundamental elements of a negotiation process, know and understand the negotiation typology, identify the main errors in a negotiation process and know and understand the negotiation strategies, techniques and tactics.

Teaching methodologies and assessment

No processo de ensino-aprendizagem serão utilizadas metodologias que contemplam: aulas expositivas, com apresentação pelo docente dos quadros teóricos de referência; aulas participativas, onde os alunos são encorajados a participar na discussão dos vários temas e são privilegiados com exemplos práticos aplicados ao mercado de trabalho, além da resolução de exercícios; aulas activas com realização de trabalhos individuais e de grupo.
