Objectives
This course aims to develop the ability to organize the elements that structure the two-dimensional discourse. In this sense we work the basic concepts of shapes and spaces (structure, scale, color, interaction, modulation, movement, tension). At the same time, we seek to develop curiosity, imagination and critical thinking through a systematic approach to the various methodological notions (research and experimentation processes), using the various forms of representation and presentation (drawing, model). The transmission and apprehension of the different contents are made in theoretical moments and applied in specific practical exercises. Projects that allow the development and acquisition of knowledge inherent to the project form / function and methodology. The main steps of a design process: problem definition, idea creation, experimentation and the final solution.
Teaching methodologies and assessment
Problem-oriented teaching / learning process. Expository classes for the presentation of the proposed themes. Transmission and apprehension of the different contents, carried out in theoretical moments applied in practical exercises under guidance. Research project work on design professionals, national and international, with the aim of sharing knowledge, experiences. Attendance and mandatory participation in 70% of contact classes (exception for students with worker-student status). A number of absences higher than 30% of the total teaching hours implies the failure of the course unit (except for students with the status of worker-student). Continuous evaluation. The last element of evaluation is scheduled for 02/03/2021, at 11:30 am. It is mandatory to be present at all times of assessment, including holders of worker-student status. 1. Pattern (stitch, line and plane): 20% 2. Brand: 25% 3. Brand Book: 25% 4. Weekly research (designers): 20% 5. Commitment and participation: 10%
