The syllabus provides students with knowledge and skills that are fundamental to the composition and creation of a visual narrative that integrates the image and the word into functional visual devices that are operative for the user.

Professional Internship



Navigation systems. Infographics: analysis and construction of visual narratives in order to inform in a functional and appealing way. Pictograms, maps, charts, diagrams. Digital pagination.

1. Project methodology. Design thinking and creative processes: brainstorming; visual brain dumping, action verbs, mind map and mood board.

2. The importance of informative synthesis.

3. The importance of hierarchy in understanding information. Visual focus, sequence and rhythm in reading.

4. Readability. Know how to compose text and image in two-dimensional surface.

5. Typography and color.


This course aims to promote communication skills in the components of information, image, and intelligible arrangement of elements.
Explore data organization methods in the form of graphical schemes to find new ways to see and understand them - poster and infographic

Teaching methodologies and assessment

Problem-oriented teaching / learning process. Expository classes for the presentation of the proposed themes. Transmission and apprehension of the different contents, carried out in theoretical moments applied in practical exercises under guidance. Research project work on design professionals, national and international, with the aim of sharing knowledge, experiences. Attendance and mandatory participation in 70% of contact classes (exception for students with worker-student status). A number of absences higher than 30% of the total teaching hours implies the failure of the course unit (except for students with the status of worker-student). Continuous evaluation. It is mandatory to be present at all times of assessment, including holders of worker-student status.
