The Degree in Audiovisual Communication and Multimedia aims to train in areas that integrate cultural, social and technological issues related to the creation and implementation of multimedia content. The main objective of this degree is to provide adequate means for understanding and mastering the language of the media, as well as capacity-building narratives, challenging the imagination and creativity in order to train designers capable of working in the labor market, which includes offices of web design, multimedia publications, advertising agencies, video producers, communications operators, and other small and medium enterprises.
Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired
The Multimedia marks the human habitat, without audiovisual and multimedia the world would be unrecognizable, and in our existential reality, uninhabitable. Thus, the degree of Audiovisual Communication and Multimedia bet on a comprehensive training, equipping the student responsiveness to multiple areas in which communication and audiovisual media currently operate.
These areas include the development, writing and producing projects filmic, television and videographic fiction; documentary, institutional and advertising, production, production and executive production assistance projects filmic, television and videographic fiction, documentary, institutional and advertising ; film directing, lighting and imaging assistance; operations in camera film technology, film and video, image control and operations vt; audio post-production, sound capture and sound design, post production and visual composition in filmic projects, television and videographic drama, documentary, institutional and advertising; analogue and digital photography, promotion and distribution of audiovisual and multimedia project management and conceção multimedia, development and writing projects, consultancy projects in multimedia and information systems; design applications, interfaces and information for multimedia platforms (web, offline, mobile) and realization of projects of animation, modeling and 2D and 3D animation, multimedia programming environments, systems analysis and design multimedia, graphic design, typesetting and production of infographics.
All these areas are addressed in the course, in areas of theoretical and practical laboratory, whilst investing in personalized learning environments and in models of teamwork.
The first cycle degree in Audiovisual Communication and Multimedia paves the way for the formation of the second cycle in the masters program in Communication Systems Multimedia, Design, Art and Film Studies.
