LO1: To define an original research theme or research question in Clinical and Health Psychology.

LO2: To conduct bibliographic research on the selected topic.

LO3: To carry out a critical reading of scientific texts related to the selected topic and proceed to its synthesis and integration.

LO4: To design an oriented and coherent research project with regard to research questions and/or advanced hypotheses, scientifically grounded and ethically justifiable.

Teaching methodologies and assessment

In this curricular unit students have the opportunity to join one of the research lines ongoing in the Master in Clinical and Health Psychology of ULP. Students should attend research meetings, where they will have the opportunity to contact their research teams and projects; train transversal and specific research competences; and develop a research project in regular articulation with the team work. Teaching methodologies include applied training (TM1), autofeedback (TM2), peer feedback (TM3) and lecturer feedback (TM4), bibliographic search (TM5).

Thus, evaluation of this UC includes: Participation in team meetings (15%); Written proposal of the research project and respective oral discussion (80%); Preparation of the submission of the research proposal to the Comissão de Ética e Deontologia para a Investigação FPED-ULP (5%).
