Candidates should have completed secondary school or equivalent qualification. Under current legislation any course of secondary education is qualification enough to compete.The applicant must submit proof of completion of the national survey of the discipline that the establishment has taken as proof of admission to the course they want to apply and meet the minimum score of 95 points.
Objectives
The clarity of mission of Universidade Lusófona do Porto, expressed in its statutes, focuses its training responsibility as part of ongoing changes in relation to the "Bologna Process". That is why It is proposed an integrated degree (1st and 2nd Cycles) in Architecture.The main objective is to enable students for the effective exercise of their profession in architecture. The degree intends to enhance the development of skills, at theoretical and practical, critical-theoretical, methodological and technological level.
Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired
The Degree in Architecture aims to provide students with a set of skills acquired in the field of action relating to the built environment and spatial planning. In this sense, it is aimed to prepare professionals capable of preparing studies, plans and architectural designs, to coordinate the management and direction of works, planning and evaluating activities reported to the field of Architecture and Urbanism, and to undertake research in the fields of scientific theory, history and practice of architecture.Occupacional Profiles
Professional activities are all areas that concern knowledge and practice relating to the worlds of architecture, urbanism, planning and urban management, scientific research and teaching.Thus, the career options are:
Professional practice as an architect in the liberal regime;
Professional practice as an architect in private institutions and companies in the construction industry;
Central and local public administration (municipalities, public institutions and local technical offices);
Scientific research and teaching.
