Qualification requirements and regulations
Candidates to the branche Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL(A)) must present the prerequisites: medical and psychological tests to ATPL(A).
Candidates should have completed secondary school or equivalent qualification. Under current legislation any course of secondary education is qualification enough to compete.
The applicant must submit proof of completion of the national survey of the discipline that the establishment has taken as proof of admission to the course they want to apply and meet the minimum score of 95 points.
Objectives
This degree in Aeronautical Sciences aims at training several knowledge areas as diverse as mathematics, behavioural sciences, humanities, law and physics, in the common trunk, and management, economy, and tourism in the various branches in which the course is organised, together with a strong sense of the economic activities associated with the civil aviation sector, including a strategic investment in Airport Management, Flight Operations Management, and Air Transport Management.
Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired
The degree in Aeronautical Sciences comprises four branches of study: Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL(A)), Flight Operations Management, Airport Management, Air Transport Management. The Bachelor degree (Licenciatura)- branch ATPL - is integrated in the systems of certification JAR-FCL, through a protocol with the School of Aviation Nortávia (EAN), the Flight Training Organisation (FTO), certified by the National Institute of Civil Aviation (INAC), the entity responsible for the practical training (flight classes). The strategic partnership between ULP/EAN provides students with two valences of recognised prestige and unique in the region: at the end of the course, FCA/ULP students will have the Bachelor degree in Aeronautical Sciences - branch of Airline Transport Pilot License - as well as the JAA license for Airplane Commercial Pilot with the airline theory frozen ATPL. This latest certification is awarded by the National Aviation Authority and the testing of aeronautical disciplines will be conducted according to what has been approved by INAC.
